Sarah's help for RNS brain surgery

Hi, my name is Sarah Dawson. I came down with Epilepsy in 2006 and had Grans Mahl seizures for 2 1/2 years before being diagnosed. I had brain surgery in 2009, and the surgeon removed my left hippocampus and a section of my left temporal lobe. I am on several medications and am disabled and unable to work. I am on SSDI and am raising my 11-year-old son on my own. The drugs I am on do not stop all the seizures; my doctors recommended I have an RNS surgically implanted in my skull to detect seizures before they start. The RNS will disrupt the electrical Impluse to stop some seizures before they begin. It will take about one year for them to read my EEG's and eliminate as many as they can. The surgery cost was over $370,000.00. Thankfully, the insurance paid a great portion of this. I am trying to raise $15,000.00 to cover my portion and future follow-up expenses.
