Sarah's helping hands

Hi friends. As many of you already know, Sarah Blackburn has been admitted to the hospital with severe covid pneumonia. Anyone that knows Sarah, knows how strong of a person she is physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sarah has been through so much, and still would drop anything at a moment's notice to help anyone in needed. Sarah's husband is also battling covid at home, with a less severe case, but will be off work as well for an unknown time. Sarah is self-employed as a bad *ss hair stylist,! Obviously Sarah did not anticipate that she would be unable to work, or that she would be admitted to the hospital for any length of time. We know if she could, she would be coloring or styling hair from the hospital bed. Many people have already reached out to ask what they can do for Sarah, Zach, Sarah's children Rhilan and Nora, or Sarah's mom, Wendy. At this time, Rhilan and Nora are quarantined with Sarah's mom, and will be doing school at home with her until they are able to return to school in person. Zach is quarantining at home.

 

In an effort to take the burden of both Sarah and Zach being unable to work at this time, we have created this page to help with any expenses that may arise. We anticipate Sarah will not be working for quite some time, Wendy is driving to the hospital frequently to visit, and she also has the needs of the kids for however long she has them. The holidays are also right around the corner, and just like Sarah would do for any single one of us, we want to make sure that no matter what, their entire family is able to enjoy the holidays in whatever fashion they see fit.

Both Jessica and Emily will be able to drop things off to Wendy to disperse where needed. Additionally, Jessica will be updating here any important updates, as she is able to be in contact with the nurses at Metro hospital.
