#Sarah'sSoldiers ALS fight
Sarah was diagnosed with ALS in May of 2018. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig disease, is a terminal illness and patients are typically given a 2-5 year life expectancy from date of diagnosis. There is no cure. Comfort is the name of the game.
Sarah worked for KCPD for nearly 10 years before being forced to step away from her duties due to diminishing physical health. It’s much more in Sarah’s nature to give back to the community opposed to take, but she is no longer physically able being wheel chair bound. The cost related to ALS are never ending. I’ve had a few people recently reach out that would like to assist in Sarah’s fight, so here we are!
We have been blessed with the unwavering support of our Kansas City community that’s so near and dear to Sarah. We can’t thank all of you enough!
