With his wife Saralee gone, Bob would appreciate your help

We are a small group of friends still grieving over the loss of a dear friend, the well-loved columnist Saralee Perel. Her recent death leaves Bob, her dementia-stricken elderly husband, without the support she had been providing by herself, day and night. Some time ago, she set up a gofundme page asking for support since she, with a spinal cord injury, was overwhelmed physically and financially.
Bob can no longer remember even his own name. So we are reaching out in hopes that you may be able to assist with the cost of protecting and caring for him in an elder care facility.
For 30 years, Saralee has been a beloved columnist on Cape Cod and also a licensed independent social worker. Her sudden loss has been a blow to her friends and her many readers. Bob cannot even grasp what has just happened to him. He is beyond helpless at this point. We'll close with some language Saralee posted in her previous gofundme request.
“Words cannot describe how grateful we would be if anyone could find it in their hearts to help us. Writing these paragraphs to you is one of the hardest things I have ever done. Even if you are unable to help, I am grateful for your time and your kindness in reading this. If only my husband could understand, I know he would be grateful as well. I wish all of you the very best.”
