Sara's NYC Marathon Fundraiser for MSK

Hi Friends and Family!

I am excited to share that I’ve decided to take on running the 2024 NYC Marathon on November 3rd raising money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), the hospital my dad spent a majority of his cancer treatment. This hospital gave my dad extra years to spend with his friends and family and for that I am forever grateful.

Everyone who knows me, knows how close my dad and I were. He was my mentor and my absolute best friend, and I miss him every day. He would probably joke about why in the world I would decide to willingly torture myself and run 26.2 miles, when I have more important things to survive (like intern year of residency!).

Cancer sucks, and sadly almost all of us have been affected by it in some capacity. I will be thinking of my dad as I run through the boroughs of my home city, while running for a cause that brings hope, support, and strength to families like it did to mine. 100% of funds raised go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures.

Any contribution, big or small, will have a lasting impact. Thank you for being apart of my journey and for always keeping our family close to your hearts!
