Sasha Brandon Coburn

Alex (Sasha) Brandon Coburn was adopted into the Coburn family on June 15, 2016. He had visited Palmyra, Pa the previous summer through an orphanage exchange program- Guglielmo’s Hope. Alex was an orphan from the age of 6 along with 5 Ukranian siblings. Sasha came to America and attended Palmyra High School for English as a second language, Art class, Guitar class, played on the soccer team, and was a member of the Wrestling team. He worked at Hershey Park, Amazon, and A.S.K. He was an active member of Palmyra Grace’s Youth Group, worked out at Five Stones Fight Club, and was a volunteer at the Palmyra Firehouse. Sasha was in Ukraine with YWAM preparing to become a missionary for the Lord when the war broke out. At first, he was an interpreter for Newsmax. Then he joined a Medic group and traveled with them for a while. After a couple of weeks, he joined a small group of defenders. Shortly after that, he enlisted in the Ukraine Military. He gained training and was a lieutenant for his group of soldiers when Russian snipers took his life. We will be celebrating his life at Palmyra Grace Church on November 4th at 2:00. Doors open at 1:00 pm. Please donate whatever you can so that we are able to band together to help the Coburn family lay their son to rest in Ukraine, his home country. No one should ever have to bury a child, if we can raise enough we can give this young man the service he deserves and the Coburn family the peace of knowing they laid their son to rest, They will also have a memorial service for him here as noted above as the Ukrainian airspace is unsafe to travel in currently. Please pray for them and pray for this war to end, for no more young lives to be taken!
