Sassy's Spelling Bee Fundraiser

Hi. I'm Sassy Saleeby and I have received an invitation to the National Spelling Bee as a part of their RSVBee program. This year, I earned 3rd place at the St Louis Post Dispatch Regional Spelling Bee, where I have been a finalist every year for six years. I have been the school spelling bee champion all three years at Ladue Middle School and at the Fifth Grade Center too. Since I am completing 8th grade, this is my last year of eligibility, which means my only chance to participate at Nationals.

But for every bee, there's a stinger. The participation fee alone costs $1500 plus travel expenses (including a required hotel stay at the official hotel in National Harbor, MD). I'm trying to BEE positive and hope to enlist your support in making this amazing opportunity possible for me.  Any funds raised above my goal will be used to create a spelling education and outreach program for underserved students.

I get asked "what's my favorite word" many times. Well, my favorite word is...

PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS

(meaning - a disease of the lungs resulting from the inhalation of volcanic ash).

or  if you want one that is easier to spell, it's INDEFATIGABLE which means "persisting tirelessly."
