Sattler Family

Our good friend, Jake Sattler was hospitalized on December 28 after experiencing a terrible headache and other flu-like symptoms for several days. After lots of testing, Jake was found to have a mass on his pituitary gland (located below the base of the brain, close to the optic nerves). The mass was impairing vision in his right eye.  Jake had been having trouble keeping his eye open, having issues with peripheral vision and at times, experiencing double vision.   

Jake had surgery to remove the mass on January 1. The surgery went well, but it is just a waiting game to see if his vision will return and what damage may be done to the pituitary gland and production of hormones. 

Since it is unknown how long Jake will be off of work, we are raising funds for Jake and his wife, Amanda, to help cover medical bills and everyday living expenses. Donations of gas cards would also be helpful to assist with transportation costs for various follow up appointments after Jake is out of the hospital.
