Savannah Community Housing Fund
Donation protected
A wave of evictions for those struggling due to COVID are set to begin this Monday, August 3rd.
Savannah Community Housing Fund will distribute $100,000 of rent relief in the greater Savannah area.
First priority for support will go to renting households who have not received federal pandemic or unemployment pandemic assistance and/or are currently facing an eviction.
Please call/text [phone redacted] to apply for funds at this time.
Funds will be released to landlords on behalf of tenants. Landlords must sign binding agreements with Family Promise to release tenants from the debt of any owed rent and cancel any eviction proceedings.
We have already begun to receive reports of Savannahians struggling with eviction - please contribute now so we can keep people in their homes during this pandemic. A longstanding member of our West Savannah community, Miss Ida Grant, 79, was illegally evicted from her home by her landlord after just two months of nonpayment of rent, and our first funds will go towards helping her secure new housing as a result of her eviction.
At this time 8/13 we are pausing donations on the GoFundMe to address distribution before proceeding with accepting additional funds.
If you or someone you know is being threatened with eviction or has been served an eviction notice by a landlord or the city, please call or text 912 Mutual Aid Fund 24/7 at [phone redacted]. Community members are standing by to support you.

If you would like to make a contribution over $10,000 please contact us about direct deposit before contributing on GoFundMe.
