Save 1-year-old Nuri from euthanasia

My name is Elif. I'm reaching out to you with a plea from the bottom of my heart. Our beloved cat, Nuri, is in desperate need of your help. Just a few days ago, Nuri’s world—and ours—was turned upside down. He came home one morning, severely injured, unable to walk, and bleeding. The vet told us he had most likely been hit by a car and attacked by other cats. His injuries include deep wounds and a dislocated pelvis. The vet has given us two options: either Nuri undergoes urgent surgery to repair his pelvis, or we face the unimaginable choice of euthanasia because he wouldn’t be able to live with the pain he currently feels.

Nuri is only 1 year old, full of life, love, and energy. He’s been my constant companion, offering me comfort and support during some of my darkest days, especially when I was recovering from anorexia. His purrs and cuddles have brought me immense joy, helping me heal in ways I can't even describe.

The surgery that could save Nuri’s life will cost around €2,500, excluding additional medication and check up fees. After this surgery, his pelvis will fully heal and he will be able to walk again without any pain. I have some money from my university savings, hence the amount we ask for this donation is lower. This is a sum that my mother and I cannot afford. We both are unable to work due to illness and rely on social grants. The idea of losing Nuri, who has been such a vital part of my emotional well-being, is devastating.

We’re asking for your help to give Nuri a second chance. With your support, we can afford the surgery that will allow Nuri to heal and return to his loving, playful self.
