Please help us feed 25 orphans in Uganda
Donation protected
Hello friend,
my name is Tugume Henry Aza, I was only 17 years old when I lost my entire family and became the only person left responsible for the orphanage called Lenity Kids of God Foundation located near Kampala in Uganda which is currently housing 25 children. Most of them are refugee children from other countries who had to escape war.
We need urgently food, shelter, clothes and school fees. We are not asking for much. I also reached out to NGO's in Uganda like UNHCR and UNICEF but their resources are very limited and approve more monthly donations. Currently UNICEF is paying us only 50$ a month. The rent alone is 150$.
I am urgently begging whoever seeing this to donate just a little to save these poor children who are hopeless and think that no one loves them. Your donation makes a big difference and it saves their lives every day. Please help me to put a smile on the face of these children who lost everything!
OUR HISTORY:
This orphanage was started in 2020 after the outbreak of Covid19 pandemic by my father called Ssebuguzi Henry Aza who was an electrician and my mother Nakawuki Milly Aza who was a waitress. In Uganda many refugee children entered thy country from Congo without their parents. My parents saw it as their Christian duty to help these young souls who were suffering to survive with no one to help them and started this organisation using only small amounts of their already low salary.
In 2021, my father had a misunderstanding with one of his workmates and the workmate ended up poisoning the water source of our house. They were rushed into the hospital after but no one made it out alive. l survived because l was in the hospital receiving treatment for my hernia disease. The police investigated this case, but the suspect wasn't caught. My sisters named Rose and Milly were only 10 and 14 years old as they died.
I was only 17 years by that time, so I was forced to drop out from school because l wanted to continue the work of my family and I see the orphans are my siblings now. Am now 20 years old, but still struggling with daily food, education and health facilities to reach out to this orphan. To look for help, I went to many churches, a few helped for a week and others only promised to help but nothing happened.
OUR CURRENT ACCOMMODATION:
We are renting a tiny little house in Kampala. The rent is 150$ converted into dollar per month. This money is so hard for us to achieve.
FUTURE GOALS:
1. We need to have our own home, a place the orphans can call home and where they don’t have to be afraid to thrown out in the streets. We need to have a piece of land where we can an grow up our own food and sell partly it.
2. I have to finish my Highschool exam to find better work or apply for scholar ships. Therefore, I can't work for six months.
3. The children need to go to school and finish their high school exam. Without education, there is no future.
My dear friend (Sisa/Kathy Kenji) is using this page to fund money. She also gave a lot of her own money and doesn't keep anything for herself. She will also show all our bills and receipts in the updates for transparency.
I am also on social media, if you want to get in contact with me personally:
"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to God. Be kind to this poor child and God will bless you and pay you back."
Thank you so much!
