Help Us Pay Our FIP Survivors Remaining Vet Bills
Donation protected
Hi! I am Angel. I live in the United States.
My good friend at Gray & Siblings, an animal rescue in the Phillipines, is raising money to cover the outstanding bills left over from saving the lives of 4 cats infected with the horrible FIP virus. This is a fatal virus if left untreated. Thankfully a cure was finally put on the market not too long ago. However, it is very expensive and can be hard to come by. We're asking for your help so that Welcy can pay off this debt and continue to rescue cats & get them the treatment they need.
Welcy runs this animal rescue almost entirely by herself, with some assistance from friends and family. They live in constant anxiety about not having enough money to save these animals from suffering. Donations are very hard to come by in their area of the Philippines, and people do not care about animals there the way they do here in the USA. Welcy also has very little social media reach, and no money to advertise.
Please follow them! @grayandsiblings
Here is some information from Welcy at Gray & Siblings~
In mid-March of 2022, Baby Rocky was found on a jogging field, inside an orange shopping bag, alone, crying and hungry. We then picked her up and fell in love with her beautiful eyes! We brought her home and gave her baby milk. Just a week after, she came down with a cold and developed labored breathing. We brought her to the vet where she was prescribed antibiotics.
She didn't get any better after being treated by two different vets. She continued to sneeze. But even with her not getting the right respiratory medications, she still wanted to cuddle and play, and she still had her appetite.
A week after, we brought her to the clinic to check on her cold as it was getting worse. The doctor recommended that she take an FIPV test. Unfortunately, it came out positive.
On top of this, we have 3 other kitties at our rescue who had tested positive as well.
In mid-June of 2023, our four infected cats completed their 84 days of treatment! They will be on observation for another 84 days, but chances are they are cured and will live happy, healthy, fulfilling lives.
Even though the donors to our last GoFundMe campaign enabled us to begin the expensive treatments, we are still in several thousands of dollars of debt with the vet. We survive on donations, as do most animal rescues. We have more cats to save, and we must fund our operation.
Your help in paying off our outstanding bill for the FIP treatment will enable us to continue saving the lives of injured, sick, malnourished, and disregarded cats.
The following two images depict our outstanding bill.
Thank you,
Welcy
This GFM is being managed by Angel Marcloid, a supporter located in the United States. She will be forwarding all donations to Gray & Siblings as they come in.
We've added to the total the cost of PayPal (3.49%) & GoFundMe (2.9%) fees, which do not account for the $0.49 and $0.30 per transaction fees they charge.
