Save a MommyVeteran with Cancer

A year and a half after retiring from the U.S. Army; Christianah, a retired Master Sergeant, a three-time combat veteran and Mother to a three-year-old started having severe stomach pain. After multiple scans, she was diagnosed with stage IV cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct) that has metastasized to other parts of her body. Her oncologist informed her that she had 4-6 months to live with chemotherapy.
She sought a second opinion with multiple hospitals and was given the same option. Christianah believes that her cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence for her. While Christianah researched her medical diagnosis and prayed for God’s guidance and healing, she learned of the Burzynski Clinic, a supplemental immunotherapy treatment facility in Houston, TX. After additional genetic testing and a thorough review of her case, the Burzynski team of doctors have provided much hope, indicating that with both traditional chemotherapy and their specialized, gene-targeted antineoplaston therapy, her odds of surviving are great.
This is excellent news; however, the treatment is NOT covered by insurance. The total expected cost is in the range of $120,000 -$360,000. This treatment lasts around 8-12 months at $17,000 per month, and if necessary, at $7,000 per month after that for the case management fee. Without payment at the start of each month, they will not be able to continue her best chance of beating this aggressive form of cancer.
We are asking and praying that you will help to raise $100,000 to cover the basic costs of her treatments. Please keep in mind that the family will still have to cover our travel, lodging, medication, and other out-of-pocket expenses.
Christianah has spent over 23 years fighting for her country, now it is time for her to fight for her life with your help.
Thank you for reading and supporting her.
