Hello, my name is Mohammed. I am Palestinian, living in Gaza City, and I seek your kind assistance for myself and my family to escape the horrors of the ongoing war in Gaza for the past seven months. Allow me to introduce my family.

We are a family consisting of 10 people. My mother, my sister with two children, and myself with my wife and my four children.

I am 45 years old, The eldest child is 12 years old, and the youngest is 4 years old. Before the war, we lived a stable life in Gaza. The children had just started a new school year, and my youngest son Abood was particularly happy as it was his first year. We were all looking forward to a bright future and a better life.

However, everything changed after October 7th. Our lives were turned upside down when our neighborhood was bombed. Fearing for our safety, we sought refuge at my brother's house. Yet, the area was soon targeted, like much of Gaza. The hardest moment came on October 13th when we had to flee Gaza City to the southern part of the Gaza Strip, leaving everything behind except for some clothes, hoping to return one day.

We didn't know where to go, so we ended up in the central Gaza Strip and stayed there for two weeks, thinking it was a safe area. But due to intense bombing and the children's fear, we had to move south again, constantly searching for safety. I could see the confusion and fear in my children's eyes.

Throughout the multiple displacements, we faced harsh realities, such as lacking

necessities like water and food for extended periods. We couldn't even engage in basic activities like bathing or having clean water, which led to the children falling ill due to contaminated water.

We never imagined enduring such harsh conditions, with suffering escalating as the war drags on. Each day, we dream of the war's end and returning to our home, hoping the children can resume their lives like other kids around the world. However, that hope shattered when we learned our house was destroyed, and reduced to rubble and debris.

If those stones could speak, they'd recount the stories of our children's births, our joyful moments, and our times of sorrow. It was where we witnessed our children taking their first steps and growing up. Now, all that remains are memories amidst the rubble—the war has taken everything from us.

A fundraising campaign has started urgently to help my family leave Gaza promptly. We need urgent financial assistance for our departure and to begin a new life. This includes $5,000 to $6,000 for each of us as departure fees to ensure a safe journey. We'll require financial assistance to cover living expenses upon arrival at our destination. Our ultimate goal is to rebuild our home and provide a peaceful life for our children after surviving the horrors of war. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us joy.
