Help Save Abandoned Belize Island Puppy

Donation protected
"During my work trip to Belize, I had a few solo days to myself and decided to take a kayak island hopping near the reef to go fishing. I stopped for just a moment near some mangroves to get some shade when I happened to look over my shoulder and spot a frail, weathered, and hungry puppy standing by an abandon fishing shack. Realizing he was alone and the small Caye was uninhabited, I scooped him up and brought him with me back to the area I was staying, Thatch Caye.

This poor guy has a long road of recovery ahead of him. He will need blood tests from a private vet in Belize, and perhaps relocation fees to get him into a new home - possibly one here in the United States when he's healthy enough. Right now, he is napping after getting some food to fill his little belly. He's a sweet boy and is very happy to not be alone. He is covered in salt sores from the water and is missing most of his fur, but his tail wags nonetheless. I have plans to take a boat ride from Thatch Caye tomorrow morning (12/3/2018) to meet with the Vet for the first time."

We're unsure how much this will cost us initially but realize it will most likely be a sizable bill when all is said and done. We feel fortunate enough to get his recovery process started, but are reaching out in hopes that our friends, family, or any dog lovers would be willing to donate in order to help us continue his recovery. We are grateful for any help anyone can provide and will keep updating his progress as we push through with this tough little guy.

Thank you all in advance!!
