Help Save an Artist's Hand

Dear Friends – In August of 2013, Kate Peachey – beloved artist, friend, and extremely generous contributor to the Florida Keys community and beyond – was injured in a bad fall caused by a wet floor while at work in a Key West gallery, fracturing both her neck and wrist, (though the damage to her neck was not medically identified and treated at the time). This accident has caused a chain reaction of physical challenges which have also impacted Kate’s ability to create the volume of work and income she was previously capable of. Now, the screws that were originally placed to stabilize her broken wrist are digging into a ligament and if left unrepaired will cut through it. To prevent this requires surgery as soon as possible and an insurance co-pay expense of approximately $3000.00.

Kate has always given with passionate generousity of her time and talents to a kaleidoscope of causes. Will you help Kate face this hurdle with a contribution to help with the co-pay and other associated expenses? We are hoping to raise a minimum of $3000.00 to cover the co-pay, but have set the goal at $6,000.00 to also assist with rehabilitation expenses, general finances due to lost work, etc. Thanks in advance for your help!
