Help Annie's Pizza secure a downpayment on the building

Michael Rothmeyer-
"I’m an outdoor enthusiast (ok, addict) who absolutely loves to have pizza and a beer after camping, fishing, hiking, floating, boating, hunting, snowshoeing etc..

I’ve been coming to Annie’s Pizza for over 25 years and consider it the best pizza ever! Not to mention the rest of it, soup, salad lasagna, sandwiches, espresso, wide array of beverages and awesome service!

This is a somewhat self-serving plea to the public, as I would really hate to see this unique establishment disappear, and this location is really the only one that makes economic sense for this business.

Multi generational businesses like this one are becoming more and more rare. Annie’s has been here for 30 years serving this and the surrounding communities with exceptional service and products - unique in the area.

Please give whatever you can toward the down payment needed to secure their ability to remain in Concrete. Especially if you are a fan of this place like I am!"

"Thank you for taking the time to read this. When I was 11 years old, my life took an unexpected turn. My mom came home one day, exhausted from her job at the newspaper. She was fed up with the constant deadlines and the long nights, often not coming home until the early hours of the morning. She needed a change and jokingly said she'd open an ice cream stand on the side of the road if she had to!

Around that time, a pizza place went up for sale in an old gas station building. My parents looked at each other and said, "Well, let's give it a go!" They put everything on the line, including our house as collateral for the loan. It was a sink-or-swim moment, and we had no choice but to swim. Now, 30 years later, we’re still swimming, still serving up slices, and still welcoming everyone who walks through our doors as family.

But recently, the owner of the building put it on the market. Suddenly, everything we've worked so hard for is at risk. The thought of someone buying the building and tearing it down to build an apartment complex or something else is terrifying. What happens when you no longer feel in control of your own destiny? The "what ifs" are overwhelming.

We’ve explored the possibility of buying the building ourselves, but without a substantial down payment, getting a loan is nearly impossible. It’s hard to believe that 30 years of dedication, hard work, and love could be at risk. I started this journey as an 11-year-old kid, and here we are three decades later, unsure of what the future holds.

We still have so much left to give, so many more pizzas to make, and so many more memories to create in this place we've called home for so long. If you feel inclined to help, we would be deeply grateful. If not, we completely understand. All we want is to keep thriving and surviving in this little corner of the world, continuing to offer a place where everyone feels like family and can enjoy a good meal. Thank you for your support and for being part of our journey."
