Save Ark Lodge Cinemas from Eviction
Donation protected
The Ark Lodge Cinemas has been bringing motion picture entertainment to the south end of Seattle since 2012. It has survived many ups and downs including Covid and the Hollywood Writers and Actors Strikes. Now, we are faced with eviction unless we can pay our landlords back rent due plus stay current until a new buyer for the building can be found.
We want to keep the theater going and right now your donation will help us meet that goal of keeping the doors open and our staff paid. While just coming to enjoy a film at the Ark Lodge is usually enough, our rent has been raised to a point that we can’t keep it going through the lean times. Any amount you can spare to keep us going is appreciated.
Even after explaining to our landlords our situation, they have said they are out of options and unless we can pay all back rent they will move forward on the eviction. They increased the rent by $5000 right after we got out of Covid which made it hard for us to keep up after the movies were performing poorly at the box office. Now just as movies are now starting to ramp up we are faced with this challenge. This is where we now need your help.
