Help Artists On Wheels

Artists On Wheels is a community inspired mobile arts and crafts studio. We take pride in our role in the lives of every person who has been with us. We believe the creative process is as important as the product and welcome all ages and abilities to the studio.
The studio, located at 611 W Orange Avenue, SSF, CA., is typically available for drop-ins, workshops, plus arts, crafts, and, (recently added,) DIY activities.
Prior to COVID-19, we partnered with families and businesses such as South San Francisco, Daly City, San Bruno, Menlo Park Parks and Recreation , plus Opening Doors, with afterschool and summer activities. We also have a partnership with the Peninsula Boys & Girls Club, through our STEAM and Teen Team Building Workshops. We pride ourselves in being able to partner with other small businesses and schools during fundraisers plus providing a creative space and services to our local community, where we grew up.
Who is “we,” you ask? AOW has 3 local coaches who live within 10 minutes of AOW studio. There’s mixed-media scientist and AOW studio owner, Liselle Gutierrez Maalona, who is a coach, teacher, and volunteer. There’s the super adaptive metal smithing, leather crafting, loom-knitting and acrylic paint loving Coach Patrick Clemente Gutierrez, (also known as Uncle Pat,) to many. Last but not least, we have Coach Sherrie Anne Dandan, our resident artist, master of sketching and drawing fan art for all. She also has her handcrafted items at the studio’s consignment corner!
Artists On Wheels coaches aim to share our knowledge of use And care of tools for arts, crafts, and DIYs... but because of the pandemic, we had been closed to the public for 5 months and are hanging on a thin thread, financially.
We need immediate help. Donations will be used to pay the coaches, rent, utilities, and materials to keep our studio afloat. Our goal is to continue to provide creative opportunities, especially as we stay safe and healthy during this pandemic. We will continue applying for grants, have Zoom Paint Parties and our studio fundraisers are available.
We understand these are difficult times for many... please only donate if you have extra to spare, your shares are just as helpful. Lastly, if you know of businesses or persons who can donate, please send them our way!
Thank you for all of your support, we appreciate you all!
