Save Bandit's Life: Donate for Treatment

Hi, my name is Myke and I’m here asking for help to get my dog, Bandit the life saving treatment he needs. A short time ago he started slowing down when we were going for a walk, I thought it was just age (he’s only 6.5) or arthritis or something. Recently he’s been refusing food that isn’t high value (chicken, cheese, treats) and hasn’t really been going to the bathroom too much. Yesterday I took him to the vet and they said he’s looking a bit pale and they drew some blood and prescribed prednisone for him.

When I was getting him to take that this morning I noticed how pale his tongue was, and became worried we rushed to the vet. Along the way the original vet called and said the labs she had didn’t look good. She said his platelets were normal but his red blood cell count was very low. I’ve arrived at the hospital with him and he’s currently getting oxygen while I write this.

I’ve been given three treatment plans. The first is 12.5K, the second is 8.9K and finally just for a blood transfusion and related medicines and treatments is 5.7K.

I first got Bandit as a puppy and he got me through a really rough patch, my grandma who I was very close to had just passed, and a lot of other stuff I don’t want to go into made it seem like my world was falling apart. He’s my best friend, he comforts me when I’m in pain, and now I need help to be able to get him what he needs. My world would go gray, and pointless without him. Please help me help him.
