Save Line-Drive for our kids, teens & adults!!!

Donation protected
COVID-19 has forced Line-drive to temporarily close. Many baseball teams, softball teams, kids, teens, and adults have lost the only indoor facility of its kind in Marin to train, play and dream. Myself a parent, I have many fond memories and gratitude for the many hours my son could be at Line-drive and look forward to many more!

I am sure it is safe to say that all of us look forward to our community and country beginning to heal from this tragic pandemic. Perhaps the truest or at least one of the most joyful signs the road to healing has begun will be our kids and teens playing together in groups again.

Linedrive has been a wonderful oasis for people to gather. A place where dreams are pursued, player confidence born or increased, and special memories made. So many are impacted, such as Marin high school teams, little league teams, travel teams, individual players of all ages, birthdays, and even adult office parties.

However, a large facility like Linedrive with no people allowed is a financial fire for a small-town business, so this COVID-19 could force permanent closure.  The good news is it can be easy to save this uniquely special place for all of us if the baseball community pulls together. The owners love what they do, love mentoring the kids, and appreciate the coaches that share this love. It is a mission, a calling, and the owners have put their sweat, tears, and money. Now, they need our help to keep the dream alive that benefits so many. It is up to us to save something we value for us. Let us not count on some government outsiders coming to our rescue!

Nobody knows for sure how long this pandemic will last. So, the goal is an amount to enable even having to wait until December 2020 to re-open. Any dollar’s leftover will be used for reserves, facility upgrades, and perhaps a bit of re-opening celebration. The owners ask because the financial need is very real and time-sensitive. They value their mission and the kid’s dreams over pride, so have chosen to share the emergency, ask for help, and not keep the Line-Drive community in the dark. I for one was glad to know, while still a good time to help save our baseball mecca. Please know the owners are also pursuing loans and grants to be stronger than ever when the facility re-opens. No stone is being left unturned. In it to win it! And with some good community caring, we cannot lose.

So many kids and teens of today and the future would really miss this incredible facility (including my son). Please join the team of supporters in making sure today's generations can enjoy Linedrive when life begins returning to normal. We cannot imagine a winter or any season without Line-drive.  Again, it is a very achievable mission for all our benefit, if the many of us that have enjoyed, and valued this facility chip in.  Please consider helping to save this special place for us all, if you are able.

Some numbers to think about;

If 1000 friends average $105, the goal is met! Any caring comfortable amount one can afford is greatly appreciated. Every dollar is a hit that keeps the line moving around the bases toward winning this meaningful game for us all! The power of many is unstoppable! All donations are base hits!
