I bought Bin 5 at 27 years old with nothing in my pockets. I had this wild dream of an all-encompassing restaurant that served nothing but the best - by Staten Islanders FOR Staten Islanders. Bin was forged in craft cocktails. I became a sommelier two years ago to put a focus on wine. Chef Luis Garcia came in and we created an extraordinary menu. We are family-owned and operated. My wife, my father, my sister, my cousins and my best friends work here to create a holistic experience based on quality and service. We have been running strong through the many obstacles put into place by the Covid-19 Pandemic. But the recent restrictions are slowly but surely shutting the restaurant down. We’ve seen locations shuttered. Now with Thanksgiving having been a total disaster - a holiday that we have depended on for 5 years - we have no choice but to leave it to our community. Without help, Bin 5 will surely close before the new year. Anyone who has joined us, knows our sincerity and our mission. Anything that can be done is most appreciated.
