Save Boi: Urgent Surgery Needed for Beloved Cat
Donation protected
I adopted my cat “Boi” (2 years old) a year ago so that my other cat, Kimchi (8 years), can have a brother. They’re now bonded and have a happy, chaotic life together. Boi was returned to the shelter by his previous owner for behavior issues. And boy, does he have them! I wouldn’t have it any other way though. He has zoomies 24/7, you can’t eat without him helping himself to your food, but I have come to love this life with him. Much like a mother of a growing toddler, I’m often alarmed when it’s too quiet in the house because that means he’s up to something. NONE of this compares to the amount of positivity and love that he brings to his family. He’ll lay in your lap and lick you, or meow at you when he wants attention. I love him like my own son and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Unfortunately, his behavior may cause him his life because on April 23 he swallowed an entire shoelace and it has made it to his intestines. He visited the ER on April 24th and the ultrasound confirmed he had a linear foreign body in his intestines and now surgery is the only option. He is insured, but out-of-pocket payment is needed to get him in, and if he is not seen, he might get sepsis. I would be incredibly grateful for anyone who has the generosity towards his cause. At this point, there are no other options but surgery. I sincerely thank you if you are able to help.
Update: we’ve found a clinic who can do the surgery for 700, amount was adjusted
