Bountiful Farms Friends, I hope you all are well. Milton sure made his mark here at the farm. At 1 am the night of the storm, we believe we were hit by a tornado. There was a loud crashing sound through the house and we opened a door and there was the tree in our bedroom and living room. The damage here feels like more than we can bear. Our home is on the verge of collapse at any moment. This is a simple wood frame home, with a crawl space underneath. The walls holding up the 200 year old oak tree on the house are bowing outward and the foundation is cracking away. The house is more than likely going to be condemned. All power to the farm and its businesses run from the main home. No power to the house, no power to the farm. We will be indefinitely out of business. We need help, we need moving boxes, packing tape, we have to get what we can that's left of our belongings out. Local Roots nursery is working to be able to keep plants and trees on their regular watering schedule with a generator to the well but keeping fuel has and will continue to be another issue. Bountiful Farms is creating a go fund me account to help the 15 families that have lost their income due to this possible tragic end to Bountiful Farms & the businesses on the property including the Farm Store, Local Roots Nursery, & Bountiful’s Bistro.
