Save Buffa's, A New Orleans Staple

As many of you may have seen this week, Buffa's on Esplanade is at risk of shuttering its doors. Read more here: Gambit article about Buffa's impending closure
My name is Elisa and the owners, Chuck and Janis, are extended family - which is also something they are to multitudes of NOLA musicians, locals, and visitors alike. The doors of Buffa's are always open to all. Buffa's has been a cornerstone of the Marigny neighborhood, keeping Burgundy and Esplanade shining as a beacon of comfort. This Culinary Backstreets article is a sweet portrait of what a staple Buffa's is for the community.
Now Buffa's needs our help. After surviving COVID closures, litigious grumps, and the already well-known struggles faced by restauranteurs and small business owners alike (including soaring rents and cost of goods), Buffa's is on a precipice.
If you can, go in and support them directly. Buy the beer and the burger. Get a slice of Janis's home made cheesecake.
If you're not in the area, consider pitching in for all those times you went and all the times you hope to go again.
All funds will go directly to Chuck and Janis to keep Buffa's running through the slow season. When you find yourself in NOLA you'll want to know that Buffa's is still there to give you the warm hug and back room jazz brunch you need.
