Save Cash: Urgent Liver Biopsy Needed

Hi everyone, my name is Lucy and the sweet little orange cat pictured is Cash.

Something is attacking Cash’s liver. Our vet did an ultrasound on him last week and found some signs of possible lymphoma or liver disease. We have been to the vet what feels like every day recently. Cash is currently being hospitalized for high liver values. My vet and I decided the best thing for him at this point is to be transferred to UT to undergo a liver biopsy so we can figure out what exactly is going on. They quoted me $3,000-$5,000, on top of what I already owe at our regular vet.

Prior to Cash getting sick—just last week—my other cat Groot had to be hospitalized for a urinary tract obstruction, which can turn fatal rather quickly, so I had to act fast. I am completely overwhelmed with vet bills, like… it’s insane. I’ve had to miss multiple days of work to take them to their appointments. I’ve learned the hard way that life unfortunately doesn’t stop so I can catch up. And I have a lot of catching up to do. Rent still continues to be due, I continue to need groceries, and to put gas in my car.

I would do anything for my little guys. They bring so much love and joy to my life.

So I’ve made this GoFundMe to ask for help. Something that doesn’t come easily to me. And something I wouldn’t do if I didn’t really need it. Literally anything helps, even if you just share my post.
