A dad wanting to do right by his son

Hi. My name is Keshia Jacks and I am starting this GoFundMe to help my brother
His name is Herman and he's currently dealing with the fallout from a package being stolen by the delivery company, LaserShip
Said package being a Christmas present for my nephew
This all started when he made a purchase through Walmart's website for a PS5.
Since he works, we decided that it would be better to ship it to my apartment because I'm home all day and my husband works from home so either one of us would be able to receive it
It was supposed to be delivered on the 29th and I waited by the door all day for a knock because it had to be signed for.
It wasn't until around 7:30pm when I got a text message saying that the package has been delivered.
I found that kind of odd because like I said, it required a signature, but nonetheless I went out and checked to see if it was waiting outside of my door
And come to my surprise it's nowhere to be found.
I called my brother to tell him the situation and he came over
We both scoured my apartment building trying to see if it had gotten mis-delivered to another unit or if they had placed the package somewhere outside
We even went door to door asking if any of my neighbors had seen anything
After making some calls to Walmart, we came to find that it was in fact delivered and signed for.
But not by me nor my husband.
The signature on file did not match either one of our handwriting and on top of that, my name was misspelled on the confirmation slip (but it was spelled right when my brother initially put in the order)
We have tried calling the shipping company but every time we did, there's always a busy signal and cannot reach anyone in their customer service department.
Now you would think that Walmart would try to help and make things right but that was definitely not the case
He called them again to inquire if he could get a refund since he did not receive his package
They said that unfortunately since it was signed for and "delivered", they couldn't do anything about it.
My brother then disputed this with the evidence that they had provided him during the initial call when he asked to see what the signature on file looked like
He was still met with a " We can't do anything about it"
He's currently at his wit's end and doesn't know what to do.
This situation breaks my heart because I know that he had be saving up for months in order to get that ps5 for my nephew
I can also tell that he's pretty upset by this as well. On the outside he is keeping it cool, calm, and collective
But, I can tell that he's really hurting about this because he doesn't want to disappoint his son
My brother's not one to ask for help when he's in need of anything, so I'm taking it upon myself to ask for him.
