Save Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre from closure

We want to see the future of Coed y Brenin preserved for the enjoyment of all. Caru Coed y Brenin is a Community Benefit Society established with a view to taking this valuable resource into community ownership.

In late July 2024, Natural Resources Wales announced their intention to close visitor centres at Coed y Brenin, Bwlch Nant yr Arian and Ynyslas. They can not be allowed to do this. Caru Coed y Brenin is campaigning to help keep these important community hubs that enable access to the outdoors for the health and wellbeing of so many. Our visitor centres should not be allowed to be run down and slip into obscurity and disrepair when they can be vibrant hubs for our community and provide space for events and activities that draw visitors from all over the UK and beyond.

We have a vision to take the running of the Centre at Coed y Brenin into community hands and ensure it ismanaged and funded properly, providing secure jobs and work for local people, a hub for our community, open access to recreation for all and a vital draw for tourism that benefits the local economy.

But we can't do this alone, we need your help. We need to raise funds, initially for publicity, to organise events, print posters, run ads and reach out to as many people as possible for support to get the message far and wide and try to prevent the immediate closure of the visitor centre that could allow NRW to close the site or repurpose it in a way that does not protects its value for all.

We need funds to support a website, email and social media campaigns in opposition to the closure and to help make sure all users and members of our local communities have a voice in what happens with the centre.

Please help if you can, your donation will help Caru Coed y Brenin keep Coed y Brenin open for all to access with a visitor centre that is fit for purpose, ran well and serving the needs of those who use it.

Achubwch Canolfan Ymwelwyr Coed y Brenin

Rydym am weld dyfodol Coed y Brenin yn parhau er lles yr holl ymwelwyr. Cymdeithas er Budd Cymunedol yw Caru Coed y Brenin, a’n gobaith yw dod â Chanolfan Ymwelwyr Coed y Brenin i berchnogaeth gymunedol.

Ym mis Gorffennaf 2024, cyhoeddodd Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru gynllun i gau canolfannau ymwelwyr yng Nghoed y Brenin, Bwlch Nant yr Arian ac Ynyslas. Peidiwch â gadael i hyn ddigwydd! Mae Caru Coed y Brenin yn ymgyrchu i helpu i warchod yr asedau cymunedol pwysig hyn, maent yn helpu i alluogi mynediad i’r awyr agored er iechyd a mwynhad pawb sy’n eu defnyddio. Rhaid i ni atal cynllun CNC i’w cau, mae ganddyn nhw’n gallu i fod yn fannau cyfarfod prysur yng nghanol ein cymuned. Dylen ni fod yn lleoedd bywiog a gweithgar sy'n dod ag ymwelwyr o bob rhan o'r DU a thramor.

Mae gweledigaeth gyda ni i weld y gymuned yn rhedeg y ganolfan yn Nghoed y Brenin a sicrhau ei bod yn cael ei rheoli’n dda, gan ddarparu swyddi diogel a gwaith i bobl leol, canolfan i’n cymuned, mynediad i hamdden awyr agored ar gyfer pobl leol. i gyd ac yn gyrchfan i dwristiaid sy'n darparu buddion i'r economi leol.

Rydym angen eich help i godi arian ar gyfer cyhoeddusrwydd ac i drefnu digwyddiadau yn erbyn y cynllun cau.

Mae angen i ni hefyd ddod o hyd i arian i gefnogi gwefan, e-bost ac ymgyrchu cyfryngau cymdeithasol. Rydyn ni eisiau gwneud yn siŵr bod gan holl ddefnyddwyr Coed y Brenin ac aelodau o'n cymunedau lleol lais yn yr hyn fydd yn digwydd nesaf gyda'r ganolfan.

Helpwch os gallwch chi, bydd unrhyw gyfraniad yn helpu Caru Coed y Brenin i gadw Canolfan Ymwelwyr Coed y Brenin ar agor i bawb, gyda chanolfan ymwelwyr sy'n addas ac wedi'i rheoli'n dda, ac sy'n gwasanaethu anghenion y bobl sy'n ei defnyddio.
