Help Us Preserve Over 50 Endangered Languages with a 1000 year Deposit at the Arctic World Archive

Our mission is to preserve critically endangered languages from around the world.

Today, you can help us deposit artifacts from 50+ endangered or extinct languages at the Arctic World Archive, where for the next thousand years they will be safe and available to humanity.

The Arctic World Archive stores your data on special film that is rated to 1000+ years in durability. It is then placed in a special data warehouse in the bottom of a mine in the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway.

Our mission involves saving works from the world's most endangered languages. The language artifacts in our library are from languages that often have fewer than 20 remaining speakers.

Some of the languages we have recorded on audio, video, and images are completely extinct, and we if don't save them with a solution like the Arctic World Archive, they will soon be gone forever.

For this collection of endangered languages we've collected books, audio recordings, videos, newspapers, recipes, posters, and dictionaries and more. We've even included language-based AI, so future generations can interact with the languages of today.

Your donation can help us prevent these languages from disappearing forever. Every dollar is going to data preservation expenses; not a cent will go to anybody on our team for personal gain.
