Save Milton Keynes Family Home Destroyed by Fire!

A serious house fire has destroyed the home of a Heelands family after an electrical device malfunctioned and caused the fire to break out.

The house has been a much loved family home since the early 1980s, however after the sudden loss of his wife to cancer and ill health of his own, the owner was unable to maintain insurance payments meaning that this tragic accident has left the family in dire straights. Not only have all the treasured and irreplaceable possessions of their mother/wife been destroyed, which alone is a devastating loss, they are now faced with potentially losing the house altogether. If funds cannot be raised to make the building safe it will be torn down leaving the family with nothing.

Sue Rees was a much loved and respected member of the Heelands community, her loss was felt deeply by many in the local area. Faced with this terrible tragedy her family feel that the one last remaining comfort to them- her home, may be taken from them through no fault of their own. 

Milton Keynes residents are generous, kind and caring and have supported many families through similar tragedies in the past  The community are rallying around to help with whatever they can but it is crucial that funds are raised to save this home and replace essential items for the family which have been destroyed by the fire. 

Thankfully, no members of the family were seriously harmed during the fire but they desperately need your support to help them back onto their feet And give them back the home they treasure.

We are aware that other fundraisers have been opened by members of the community, however we would ask that funds are donated to this campaign only if your intention is for the money raised goes towards the house and the family specifically. Although the kindness of those who have set up alternative campaigns is very much appreciated, this should be considered the official fund raiser for this cause as it will be monitored by the family themselves alongside nominated close friends.
