Save Felpham Village Post Office

Hello, we are Friends of Felpham CIC and we have been established to buy the Felpham Village Post Office and run it for the benefit of the community.

Important News:

PLEASE help us reach £200,000 as quickly as possible. This sum is important! Once we reach this figure we will apply for government and trust grants. Some of these are match-funded ie £1 for every £1 we raise but some are even better. The Community Ownership Grant from central government would, if we are successful, raise £800,000 against our £200,000. Target reached!

Felpham has had a post office since 1847 but today we are in serious danger of losing this special asset as the Post Office is been put up for sale. But we have an opportunity to save the Village Post Office and make it even more special by adding further facilities and community services.

We, the community, plan to purchase it through individual donations as a Community Interest Company. It sounds daunting, it isn’t. There are many thriving examples and we're also looking for sponsors, grants and matched-funding.

Funds raised will be used to buy and improve the premises and to enhance the onsite facilities with the addition of cabins for artisan and craft businesses. We also have plans to expand the range of services offered by the Post Office eg banking facilities.

Please note that Peter Rollison (The Fundraiser) is a director of Friends of Felpham CIC and that all fundraising is done on behalf of the CIC. All funds raised will be paid directly to the CIC once the campaign is deemed to be successful. If the campaign proves unsuccessful and the purchase of the Post Office does not proceed, all funds raised will be refunded
