Save Fire in the Ring Boxing Gym (Brisbane)

Hi everyone! I am Raquel Ann Conway, on behalf of FITR-Fire In The Ring Boxing gym, thank you all who generously donated, privately & thru GoFundMe!! We strive to keep our Non-Profit gym FREE for 17 & under at 180 Industrial Way, Brisbane CA 94005!  M-Fri 4-6Pm or by appt. www.FireInTheRing.Org

        In 2003, founder & former boxer Jimmy D Ford thankfully had the DREAM to Give Back! His mission is “Let’s Get Kids Off the Streets and Into the Gym”  Jimmy learned from his childhood that KIDS (ex: parents are not home) especially needed a safe haven after school, to work out, to receive encouragement from Great coaches & trainers who care. “Big brother” coach Jimmy’s DREAM is “Making a Kid Better, One Round at a Time, So Kids will have Better Opportunities for Their Future“

     Now charitable GRANTS are needed. The pandemic had affected incoming $$$ & fundraising events! Do you have Contacts or know GRANT writers to help keep our gym doors open for Youths?

     In 2010, Jimmy D Ford opened Brisbane. However, the short-term goal of $75,000 is now uncertain in 2023. In 2003, Jimmy originally opened a small gym @SF Crocker Amazon park, funded by SF FireDept, and SF Rec&Park. SF is now temporarily closed

     My 2 brothers Andre, and Doc & I have grown up with FITR! We learn to box, learn respect, leadership & learn to be humble! Andre competed in 80 amateur bouts from age 8-18!  #charliesheehy has competed in 200 bouts & is A PRO Boxer today! Charlie & former Pro LaRon Mitchell both have achieved USA Olympic experience! Former Pro Joe Gumina & 100’s of kids’ lives are changed because of FITR Boxing! Keep KIDS’ Dreams Alive! God Bless! Thank you!
