Save FRIEND Urgent Appeal

FRIEND is 30 years old this year and we are facing our biggest challenge yet.
We have rescued thousands of abused and neglected farmed animals in our 30 years. We have given them the chance of a real life of freedom and loving care since our wonderful founder Marion began FRIEND . We should be celebrating but we are now facing our biggest financial crisis. We are launching this urgent appeal in the hope that with your help we can keep FRIEND open.
The cost of living crisis has dramatically effected our donations and our costs.
• Our monthly donations are dramatically down so we can no longer cover our monthly outgoings.
• We've been hit by huge Vet bills over Winter draining our last reserves of cash, there's literally nothing left now for emergencies.
• We have both suffered ill health this year so haven't been able to fundraise ,post on social media, or open for events as we normally would.
We are in crisis. We have to face the harsh and devastating reality that without your support we simply cannot continue. We are, however, determined as ever to move forward to continue to give everything for the animals but we need your help right now to save FRIEND.
Our target is £15,000 for this fundraiser which will help us get back on our feet and pay bills it’s a lifeline for us when we need it the most.
£15,000 will help in the short term to bridge the gap between money coming in and money going out. We can the pay outstanding bills that are keeping us up at night.
This Winter has been heart breaking for us as we have lost many of our oldest and most loved residents it has taken a huge toll on us emotionally and physically. We knew this time was coming old rescues, like us, have older animals, of course, but the reality has been more than we could bare at times. We’ve had to take time away from everything to repair ourselves, process everything that has happened privately. We have found it hard to talk publicly about our struggles, but now we must or risk loosing everything we have worked so very hard for.
Mark and I are both running on empty .We can make it through for the animals but the added financial stress is overwhelming us both. Without money our love and devotion isn’t enough to pay for their food, bedding and medical bills.
Please dig deep for us , we need you.

What else can you do ?
We know that money is very tight for everyone right now but no matter how small a monthly donation means to World to us…
We cannot stress enough the importance of monthly donations to small grassroots sanctuaries like us, even the smallest amount adds up to getting us back on our feet and helps pay the very basics that our animals cannot go without.
Our target is an extra £1000 per month in monthly donations
