Save Funny Bones aka John & Laurie

Hi my name is Carol. Some community members may remember me as The Loot Lady, but I was also John and Laurie's landlord when they opened Funny Bones. They were so excited to create Funny Bones with the goal of being a joyful community space of games, entertainment and fun for everyone from community to corporate...and it has been a great success! Parties, camps, geo catching, entertainment, mystery games, fun with friends, corporate team building and so much more, they have created a real hub and added so much to the community. They also support many local schools, community organizations and fundraising initiatives.

But this has also been and a labour of love, and finances. Being closed for over 2 years during the pandemic was crippling. And now, Government loans are due...

Our friends and your community hub are in serious trouble.

Through extreme difficulties, they have persevered. When Covid shut us all down, they got creative worked even harder, but needed help, and used whatever they could including loans and home equity to keep the doors open. They pay their staff, but not themselves and treat their people very well.

They build community with everything they have....and have risked everything. Because this community is worth it...its their home too.

Having Funny Bones aka John and Laurie in your community matters. Keeping family oriented safe spaces matter.
