Save Gaza Family: Urgent Evacuation Fund

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Ibrahim from Gaza, a computer engineer, husband, and father of 4 children: Ziyad, Yousef, Lara, and Zein. I used to live with my family a happy life until October 7th, 2023.

About a week after the start of the war on Gaza, our home, which we built gradually over 5 years, was destroyed by shelling. We moved into it on July 21st, 2019, and it was destroyed on October 13th, 2023. Our beautiful moments, memories, and all our precious belongings, my children's toys, and my son's birthday gifts that he hadn't opened yet, waiting for my return from a trip to play with them, all went with it.

This is our story:
We left our home and were displaced due to the genocidal war on Gaza 5 times in 5 different houses, traveling from the north of the Gaza Strip to its south. We had to flee under the threat of bombardment and shells, risking our lives, escaping death in search of life without knowing what would happen to us the next day.

Thank God my family is still alive. When the war started, my wife was in her sixth month of pregnancy, which posed an additional risk and challenge to the suffering of the war. She had to complete the rest of her pregnancy without medical follow-up for her and the fetus until she gave birth to our son (Zein) in the war on January 23, 2024. He is living with us today without healthcare or medical attention and without the most basic needs under the siege and current conditions.

My income and livelihood:
During the war on Gaza, I lost my job as a technical team manager in a Saudi company due to frequent power and internet outages. Overnight, I became unemployed and unable to support my family, which had grown during the war.

I had devised an alternative plan after my complete job loss due to the difficult circumstances in Gaza and started my own family project, which was an online store. However, the war thwarted my alternative plan before my main job after the shelling of my merchandise warehouses.

Every day, I struggle to provide the basic needs for my infant children amid a skyrocketing increase in the prices of essential goods such as milk, diapers, food, and children's necessities.

Gaza is no longer a suitable place for living, and I want to write new chapters for our story with a dignified life elsewhere. We deserve a better life, and my children deserve to achieve their dreams and aspirations. We hope that you will contribute to our departure from the Gaza Strip in the hope of building a better future after surviving five wars so far.

My son Ziyad has dreamed since childhood of becoming a professional football player and is passionate about football and its professionals. The bombing destroyed his gaming device, on which he used to play his favorite football game. He was also passionate about drawing.

Yousef also dreams of becoming a scientist, cherishing his accurate knowledge that impresses adults around him. I don't want him to lose his passion; he's the one who screams when he hears every rocket falling around him and asks why this is happening to us. I didn't do anything wrong to hear these sounds and see these scenes, and he asks me why I destroyed his games that he hadn't opened yet.

I strive for my little daughter Lara, who is a year and a half old, whose love fills my heart, to have a better future and a healthy life away from the darkness of conflict.

I hope that this world will help me gather resources to leave Gaza, as your contribution means creating a better reality and a brighter future for my wonderful family.

Purpose of the fundraising campaign:
This campaign aims to raise funds to evacuate my family through the Rafah/Egypt crossing, which currently requires $5000 per adult and $2500 for children under 16 years old. This is our only chance to stay alive.

Below is a comprehensive breakdown of expenses, for transparency and to clarify your understanding.

Expense Details :
Rafah/Egypt Crossing: $5000 per adult (total $10000 for both parents)
Rafah/Egypt Crossing: $2500 per child (total $10000 for all 4 children)
Accelerated exit fees from travel records: $1500
Visa application fees: $300 per person (total $1800 for five individuals)
Minimum living costs: $1000 per month (total $6000 for six months)

Thank you for your kindness and support.
With sincere appreciation;

Ibrahim
