From Gaza Ruins to Canadian Hope: Help rescue Sa'id's Family
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
Amidst the heartbreak and devastation of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, I come to you with an urgent plea for support. My dear friend, Sa'id Abu Al Roos, and his precious family are caught in the crossfire, their lives hanging by a thread.
Sa'id, a 47-year-old engineer, and his wife Majda, a 34-year-old professional nutritionist, have nurtured a family of five extraordinary children: Malak (17), Ibrahim (15), Ahmed (11), Yousef (8), and Hasan (5). These bright young minds possess immense potential, having already showcased their talents on the world stage, representing Palestine at international robotics competitions and programming Olympiads.
I'm initiating a GoFundMe campaign to raise $130,000, which will facilitate their safe passage from Gaza to Canada. Your contribution will cover the following crucial expenses:
- Permit and Crossing Fees: $5,000 to $10,000 per family member (5) to secure safe passage out of Gaza.
- Basic Needs in Egypt: $300 per family member to ensure their well-being during their stay in Egypt while awaiting Canadian visas.
- Travel Expenses: $1,000 per family member for their journey from Cairo to Canada.
- Documentation and Legal Fees: $2,000 per family member for passports, visa applications, and Canadian immigration consultant fees.
- GoFundMe Transaction Fees: Estimated $3,000-$4,000 to cover platform charges.
- Any surplus funds will be allocated to sponsor Sa'id and his family through the Private Sponsorship of Refugees program, ensuring they receive the necessary support upon their arrival in Canada.
Together, we can turn despair into determination, anguish into action. Let's extend a lifeline to Sa'id's family, guiding them towards a future brimming with promise and possibility. Your generosity can be the beacon of hope that illuminates their path to safety.
Every donation makes a difference—please give generously to change the family's lives and keep their dreams alive. They've already achieved so much against all odds, so let's get them to safety.

I'm Tawfick Al Jailani from Canada, and I'm honored to share a bit about myself and the cause that's deeply close to my heart. My journey into advocacy and humanitarian efforts stems from a profound friendship forged years ago in the halls of Birla Institute of Technology in India. It was there that I met Sa'id Abu Al Roos, a remarkable individual who currently resides in the strife-torn region of Gaza. He wasn't just a friend; he became my best brother. Over five years of shared experiences, laughter, and challenges, our bond grew stronger, rooted in mutual respect and unwavering support. Today, as I stand before you, I carry not only his friendship but also a deep commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of his family amidst the turmoil of Gaza. Join me as we embark on a possible journey of hope, resilience, and solidarity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
