Hi All Monet here, George and Isaac’s cousin.
Recently we have been given good news that there is a treatment available to help the boy's hearts stay healthy. This is a miracle. However, it is available on The USA and it is expensive.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a catastrophic muscle wasting disease. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no treatment avaiable for them yet, that can treat the underlying cause of the disease. Duchenne affects every muscle in the body and the boys are now paralysed. They need help and support with all activities of daily living. Their bodies become weaker with every passing day. In July 2022, their beautiful big brother Archie, died suddenly of heart failure, due to Duchenne.
As you can imagine, we are all so terrified because without treatment, the same thing will happen to George & Isaac. This is why we are on a mission to raise €650,000 for this life-saving treatment to keep George and Isaac’s hearts healthy. Every donation counts towards keeping their hearts healthy and ensuring they can live the long, happy lives they deserve.
This is the first time we have found a treatment that would be beneficial for the boys, so let's all come together and make a difference to END DUCHENNE.
