Save Goliath: Help George and Cheryl's Beloved Horse

Goliath is a faithful wagon horse that has been in the business for years. He particularly loves children and peppermints! Anyone who has met him has absolutely fallen in love with his charismatic personality. He has been there for some of the most important moments in our lives like weddings, birthdays, quinceaneras, anniversaries, and even funeral processions. He's surely a part of the family and we all love him dearly.

Recently Goliath found himself tangled up in a barbed wire fence not the fault of his owners George and Cheryl. This fence is part of the neighboring cemetery and George and Cheryl have brought it to the Cemetery's attention several times that it is down and encroaching on their property as well as putting their horses at risk. Usually, when Goliath gets tangled, he lays down and waits for assistance, however, this time was different which means he likely was fleeing a predator because he thrashed about and tore the tissue in his leg clean down to the bone severing a major tendon in his lower leg.

This is a horrible injury for a horse. George and Cheryl cannot lose Goliath as he means so much to them. They called their vet all throughout the holiday weekend to no avail leading the injury to become infected when they finally called my father Tracy to come and doctor him up until we could get him seen on Monday. When the vet came out to look at him, he recommended hospitalization as the only shot at saving Goliath's life.

We know the economy is rough as it has hit George and Chery as well as retirees living off their small retirements. They alone cannot afford the bills that are going to come along with saving their baby. His bill by Friday will already be upwards of $4000 and that's not including post hospitalization care. We are reaching out to our community and all that have been impacted by this beautiful gentle giant to help us save his life. Any amount will help out even if it's a dollar. We know this is going to be expensive but Goliath is worth it to all of us!
