Save GPAR: Rescue Abandoned Dogs & Keep Our Shelter Open

Hello, I’m Mark, and I’m raising urgent funds to support GPAR , a volunteer-run animal rescue shelter in Spain that saves, rehabilitates, and rehomes abandoned dogs and cats.

This cause is incredibly important to me because my dad is one of the dedicated volunteers. When he told me GPAR might have to shut its doors due to financial strain, I was shocked. I knew I had to help.

That’s why I’ve launched this GoFundMe to raise £30,000 and keep GPAR open. Without immediate financial support, the shelter may have to stop rescuing animals, and the doors could close for good.

Why This Is So Important

These aren’t just numbers - they are living beings who have been neglected and abandoned. GPAR offers them hope.

We rescue dogs like Donna, a malnourished puppy, who is now thriving in a loving home. Or Max, an older dog who has finally found comfort and safety.

But now, GPAR is in a desperate crisis. Despite our tireless volunteers—none of whom are paid—the shelter is struggling. Without urgent support, GPAR will be forced to stop rescuing animals.

Where Your Donation Will Go

Your donation will primarily go toward veterinary, pharmacy and food expenses, which far exceed €40,000 annually. In 2023 alone, these critical expenses amounted to €42,800.

Veterinary care is our largest cost, covering everything from emergency surgeries to routine treatments. Every single donation goes directly to the animals - ensuring they receive the care they need to survive and thrive.
