Save the Hampton University Golf Program

Like many colleges and universities trying to navigate through these unprecedented times, our beloved ‘Home by the Sea,’ Hampton University, recently made the decision to cut its Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year and possibly forever. Unlike many schools, however, Hampton has also made the decision to cut the scholarships of the student athletes who populate these programs. As a result, many of these students have been left unexpectedly saddled with even greater uncertainty regarding their athletic and academic futures, during these already uncertain times.

To aid these students, the Hampton University Golf Team Alumni have partnered with the Women in Golf Foundation to 1) raise awareness surrounding the loss of these programs; and 2) establish a scholarship fund with the hopes of raising funds to support the current HU Golf Team students who have lost their scholarships. There have been 9 students (5 women and 4 men) affected who have lost approximately  $245,000 in scholarship money for the upcoming school year.

All funds raised will first go to support students who have lost scholarships. Any funds raised above our goal will go back to Hampton University to help re-start the program. Thank you.
