Save Heather's Smile! Beat Cancer Treatment Damage

Hello Friends and Family! As you know, I am Joaquin Hernandez and I am pleading with you all, if you are able to help me, help my precious wife, Heather Hernandez, it would mean so much to us both! Heather is a two-time cancer survivor; she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2021 and then in August of 2022 it was discovered that the cancer had metastasized to her liver.

My wife is a FIGHTER! She fought the cancer both times by living healthier and with the help of her wonderful doctors, medications and treatments. She's had two surgeries related to the cancer, as well as two rounds of radiation...one for each cancer...and is now on oral chemotherapy to help prevent the growth of the other cancer cells which they suspect are hiding within her body.

This cancer and the required treatments needed to save her life, have wreaked havoc on the health of her teeth and gums. After being in pain for quite some time and now feeling and seeing the effects of her oral decline, Heather went to the dentist. The news she received brought her a tremendous amount of upset. Her gums and teeth are in terrible shape, largely due to the radiation and chemotherapy she has received. It was so bad, they didn't even tell her how many cavities she has. They came up with a multiple step treatment plan, beginning with getting her gums healthy again and treating her two front teeth (one of which is chipped and the other has a cavity burrowing a hole, which has now come through to the front). Heather is a pretty humble woman, but having the obvious visual appearance of her smile affected is adding a lot of salt to her wounds.

In order to get just those initial two phases of her oral care done, we need to come up with about $3,500, after insurance. The ENTIRE treatment plan is expected to run approximately $15,000, after insurance, IF we can get her treated over the next 6-9 months...the longer each damaged tooth goes, the more likely it will need even more invasive, and expensive, treatment.

As many of you know, Heather cannot work full-time (or even a regular part-time job) due to the symptoms resulting from her myasthenia gravis and fibromyalgia. Between my income and her disability, we are struggling to make ends meet as it it. Even pulling together $1.000 for any emergency expense which comes up is a huge challenge for us...but the thought of coming up with $3,500....or $15,000 is well beyond our reach.

I am at a loss; I don't know what I can do to help my beautiful wife. She doesn't deserve all of the trials and tribulations she has had to deal with, and now she is afraid of losing her beautiful smile on top of everything else. If you happen to have the ability to help me help my precious Heather, I would be eternally grateful! If together, we can raise enough money so she can have her dental health treated and in doing so also save her from having to worry about yet another way in which her body is causing her trouble and suffering, I know Heather would also be touched deeply by your generosity and love and would have immense gratitude!
