************Update 09/13/2023***************
Ok here we are 2023 and I really don't want this to be our last few months as a business. We have fallen behind on rent by 2 months and sales tax. We need 2400 dollars by the end of the month, plus another 2000 asap. I am getting a second job, I am selling all my stuff. I am working as much as I can alone to keep costs down. I don't want to raise our prices but I think I am going to have too. If 100 people gave us 50 dollars each we would be set. I am not sure what the answer is, maybe we should close? But I have artists on the books until 2025 (we host local artists and don't charge a commission) and I have 3 cool employees and a tank full of fish to feed.
I have put my heart and soul into this place I love it, my customers, the eb and flow of the day. Please please please help us. I am hopping if we can get back on track everything will be ok soon!! Please if you have ever enjoyed my business, me, my dogs, our coffee, anything, and you can spare a little think of throwing our way, if not Rohnert Park might only have big box stores like Starbucks and Walmart.
*****updated campaign 1/07/22***********
First of all thank you all for helping with our original campaign it's been two years and we have made it through the worst of the Pandemic!
And now Our espresso machine kicked the puck bucket, at the worst possible time.. with Omnicron no one is out again..we are barely making the money to keep the lights on but t
his could put us in the dark for good..
A new Espresso machine for a shop of our size cost about 10,000 dollars new, I secured a 5000 dollar grant, which was originally to be used for a new ice machine (which has also recently died) but in the light of this tragedy it can wait.. Please, if you have an extra $5.00 it could really offset the extra cost..
Our dreams are hanging by a thread. You cannot run a coffee house without an espresso machine. Please #SmallBusinessRelief
** the story**
Gosh!! I bought this business with, at the time, my partner in April of 2019. We had in mind a community space where everyone would be welcome. Where artist could show and sell there art with out being taken advantage of. Where student could feel comfortable studying. Where business people could have meeting. Where families could come together. Also a place where we could make our favorite espresso drinks and sandwiches. We had a ruff start... and just when business started to pick up, THE FIRES HAPPENED! LAME for EVERYONE!! We moved forward. We made improvements. We had art shows! We made friends. Then this Corona Virus happened and now we are empty. I had to let most of my staff go, super sad. We had just hired 3 new baristas, had to tell them we could not start training. I changed our hours (which we had just extended) to 630am to 1pm Monday thru Saturday. I made us closed on Sundays. I kept two staff to run the store on Saturday but if things continue this way I will have to let them go too. I APPLIED for both the PPP loan and the disaster loan/grant and did not receive either one. Our dreams are hanging by a thread. Please don't let this beautiful dream die. Please help me keep my doors open for the community. #SmallBusinessRelief
