Save Indus! Small School Big Difference
Donation protected
For generations, the Indus School in Northern Minnesota has provided area students with quality education, life skills, and a support system.
On March 8th, 2023, the ISD #363 School Board deemed our school unnecessary and voted (4-2) to close the Indus School.
The Indus School's impending closure has wide-reaching effects beyond a "standard" K-12 education.
Indus School serves an essential niche in the northern Minnesota school system.
Many rural families depend on the Indus School for education for their children.
More students have the opportunity to participate in school clubs, such as Student Council, National Honor Society, Yearbook Club, etc. And not only participate, but perform leadership roles in these clubs.
At the Indus School, each student feels seen and heard. There are no strangers at Indus!
Save Indus Mission:
The Indus School is a school that offers quality education, above the standards of public schools, by offering vocational classes that educate and prepare students for working and living in the community after graduation or pursuing higher education.
Individual, one-on-one teaching helps students overcome learning disabilities and become more focused and grounded. The nurturing by teachers and staff helps troubled students overcome emotional instabilities, which allows the student to learn and retain more of what is taught.
Moving forward, the Indus School Community is committed to securing funding for current and future financial needs, having more transparency and improved communications, with an ultimate goal of continuing the treasured traditions and preserving the school for future generations.
The funds raised from this will support the effort of the Indus School Community (known as Save Indus). It will be used to cover legal expenses, mailings, web pages, lobbying efforts and other expenses to fight the proposed Indus School closure. *The Funds are not intended for any Ind. School District 363 expenses.
