Save Ivory’s dog, Luna, from a pet transport company scam!

Update from Ivory about Luna & what she is requesting support for:

"Luna underwent surgery on the wounds she suffered from the abuse of the pet transport. She is now under the care of doctors in Mexico city and will have to stay there until she's stabilized. During this entire thing, ivory jean was in the midst of a move from Asheville, North Carolina to New Orleans. She had to leave behind her cat and all of her belongings there for this emergency.

Ivory now needs to get back to north Carolina and rent a U-Haul to bring her cat, instrument, and personal work belongings to her in new Orleans. This has been an arduous and stressful process, and ivory cleared out her bank account to go save her other animal. We are now rallying together to get this remainder of money to end this nightmare situation, as it seems possibly unsafe to use another pet transport service after having such a negative experiences."

Hi everyone! I’m Ashley and I’m here to introduce a nightmare story about a young woman I met in Asheville named, Ivory Jean Alexander, and her dog, Luna.

The story is based in Mexico City where she was moving back to Asheville, NC.

A Pet transport company called, Phoenix Pet, Transporting, was paid money by Ivory to transport her dog from Mexico to Asheville.

This pet transport company scammed her and severely abused her dog leaving her dog without food and sitting in pee until she got multiple chemical burns on her senior fur from the urine which created maggot infested skin 5 inches deep.

I feel deeply saddened for her situation and her dog, Luna. It’s so horrible and I’m hoping that others will be moved to help her raise funds for surgery to save her dog. It’s a $2,500 surgery due to how deep the maggots are. There's a vet who really wants to help her dog.

She has also exhausted all of her funds having to fly back from Asheville to Mexico with additional costs to the vet and the pet company bribing her to pay more money before they would give her the location where her dog was.

She’s in Mexico now after paying them extra money but has no way to get back to the states now and also can’t afford the vet surgery bill and faces euthanizing her dog without surgery.

Please help if you can.

Here’s the series of events:

1. She gets a call from the pet transport company saying that her dog needs to be euthanized. (They were lying)

2. She ends up having another vet check out her dog and they said the dog didn’t need to be euthanized.

3. She finds out the pet transport company is scamming her. They bribe her and make her pay money in order for her to have the location where her dog is (remember they were supposed to transport her dog from Mexico to Asheville). But they made up a story about her dog and then bribed her.

4. After about 2 weeks of incredibly horrible stress she pays them and gets the address and has someone pick her dog up and take her dog, Luna, to an emergency vet. The vet sends her a video of the wounds explaining the chemical burns from her sitting in urine and the maggots.

5. She flys to Mexico to be with her dog. Her senior dog is frail with maggot wounds caused by this pet transport company that is killing her dog. She is very distraught and not doing ok. Understandably.

I’m just trying to help out a fellow human in a horrible situation and asking my community and anyone this story moves that has extra funds to please help save her dog. Thank you
