Save Jim Kovaleski's Farm

Dear community, I am writing from my farm just outside downtown New Port Richey. The farm on Virginia avenue. The one so many of you have walked through, driven by, or seen online. As many of you know, a portion of the farm is on my mom’s land. In September, my mother passed away. My brother, who owns the home is looking to sell by October. Giving us the time and opportunity to raise the funds. I am writing today with an open ended question. That question being; as a community, could we raise the funds to buy this house? In an effort to keep Freedom Farm intact? The home and surrounding land was recently appraised at $350,000, which is beyond what my yearly farming income can afford. The ultimate dream is to purchase the house and surrounding land at today's real estate price, to then sell it to Tanner and his family at a reduced price in line with the farm's yearly income. In doing so, we could preserve the farm, and make Freedom Farm a forever farm. For this community, and the online community this farm has inspired, and will continue to inspire.
