35 years ago in 1986, Lupe and Leo Ramirez opened the doors to La Villa Kitchen in Via Verde, a small community located in San Dimas, CA. Lupe and Leo both created the menu, ran the kitchen, and waited on tables. When their children were of age, they worked as servers as well. In fact, their children still do so to this day. La Villa Kitchen has been family-owned and operated for over 3 decades and has become a staple in the community of Via Verde, San Dimas. The Ramirez family loves their customers and employees and considers them as part of their family.
Sadly, like many other businesses in the restaurant industry, the COVID-19 Pandemic has severely affected La Villa Kitchen, and they have been struggling to keep their doors open. Last month, COVID hit even closer to home when founder and matriarch of La Villa Kitchen, Lupe Ramirez, contracted the CoronaVirus. Lupe passed away just before Christmas. Lupe's legacy lives in her restaurant, La Villa Kitchen. The Ramirez family is doing everything that they can to honor what Lupe built and to ensure La Villa Kitchen survives during this devastating time.
The Ramirez family is trying to maintain business as best as they can and have stayed open since the beginning of the pandemic,adhering to the restrictions and protocols while keeping their staff and patrons safe. Every day it becomes harder for La Villa Kitchen to keep its doors open. This is why the Ramirez family needs your help.
The Ramirez family is humbly asking you to consider supporting them in their time of need and to assist them in their quest to continue serving the community. Please help to keep alive, the memory of Lupe, as well as the amazing business that she and her family have created.
All funds raised will be used to pay operating costs, including utilities, rent, and other monthly overhead, in order to keep La Villa Kitchen in business. The goal is to get through the lock down and to keep all current staff employed.
