Save Lake Sevan

Today, the second largest freshwater lake on earth is in danger of being swamped.

By the order of Stalin, the process of lowering the level of Lake Sevan by 50 meters began, as a result of which the process of natural aging of the lake was accelerated, the natural process of about 19,000 years was carried out in several decades.

The swamp of Lake Sevan is a major component of the desertification process in Armenia.

Our initiative, uniting a number of non-governmental organizations, enterprises, individuals, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia, has started the cleaning of Lake Sevan.
