Dear Friends!

I hope this message finds you well and that you’ve had a great summer so far.

Since its opening 10 years ago, Les Enfants de Bohème, the oldest French bistro in the Lower East Side, has been and remains a unique gathering spot in the neighborhood, namely during the memorable World cup, a lot of jazz gigs, anniversary parties, or simply to chat around a drink or a meal.

This message is to inform you that Les Enfants de Bohème is still struggling and has difficulties getting back on track. The past four years have been difficult — we still haven’t gotten back to our pre-Covid business even if we tried different formulas to gain back our financial health.

The economic situation, combined with two exceptional incidents beyond our control in the same year (water damage) put us in a very challenging financial situation. Inflation has also hit hardly margins for all restaurants.

We’ve been doing our best to keep up with our standards; as a small, casual neighborhood place, not-too-expensive, friendly, accessible. But the accumulation of all of these problems has put us in a very precarious situation It's always difficult to ask for help and you have been there for us before so, we hope you will be able to lend a hand again.

We must raise USD$40,000 to bring us to the next season. We have seen many of our fellow restaurant owners struggle as well and sadly had to shut down their business. With the support off all of you, not only will we be able to avoid this predicament, but we will come back stronger.
