To our much loved customers and community,
This is a very difficult message to write to you all.
Because of the COVID-19 business interruptions, Lit Espresso Bar is very much in danger of permanently closing. After over 11 years of operating at 221 Roncesvalles Ave, we would be devastated if this is how our story comes to an end, so we are reaching out to our beautiful Roncey community in an attempt to keep the doors open.
Currently, we are able to operate as take-out only cafe; however, we are not breaking even on a day-to-day basis, and simply do not have the funds to pay our bills through this period.
As you all know, there is no way to know how long this crisis will last, or when we can expect things to go even slightly back to normal. We have been forced to lay off numerous employees, and even after the social isolation rules ease, the financial impacts of this time will mean that we will continue to struggle. The government is offering certain subsidies, but we don't know what we will qualify for, if anything at all, and we simply aren't in a position to take out any further loans.
With our backs against the wall, we are now reaching out to you for help. Lit Espresso simply won't survive this.
We know that these are extremely hard times for everybody, but for those who are in a position to help, any amount is appreciated.
We look forward to serving you again soon,
Lit Espresso Bar
