Save Little Miss!
Little Miss is a classic 1976 sailboat, a 2-29 Cal with so much character. We bought her and have been working on her for the last year preparing her for her journey which we hope will take us around the world. We have poured all of our saving into the little boat. She is our home and our key to happiness and adventure.
What happened
We sailed into Cuttyhunk Massachusetts for shelter and an unexpected storm came in with gale force winds. Our little boat has been crushed and she is in need of major repairs.
Why Save this Little Sailboat?
We are Youtube film makers and this little boat is not only our home but our vessel to spread hope across the globe.
What the Professionals said
The surveyor came to the the island to give us his profession opinion on wether or not she is safe to sail. we were told that the deck has ben detached form the hull, making the integrity of the rigging and the boat as a whole compromised. He estimated nine thousand dollars in damage.
The weather window is closing in the North East and we have to get south. Little Miss does not have any heat and we will not be able to live on her in this weather.
We have chosen to sail as much as possible using just the wind. We have just an outboard engine to bring us into port safely.
